Louise’s Beauty Salon wins Repêchage ‘Best Beauty Salon/Spa in Ireland’ award

Louise’s Beauty Salon, Roscommon, was named as the Repêchage Best Beauty Salon/Spa in Ireland at an awards ceremony in Athlone on Monday.

Proprietor Louise Conneally-Dowd said she was “shocked and thrilled” when she was announced as the winner.

The overall award followed Louise’s inclusion as one of Ireland’s top 5 beauty therapists, making it a fantastic awards’ double for the popular local salon.

Lydia Sarfati, owner of the worldwide Repêchage Skincare brand, flew in from the United States this week to launch the new Hydra Pure facial, and to attend the awards ceremony in the Sheraton Hotel in Athlone.

In advance of Monday night’s ceremony, Louise’s Beauty Salon had been confirmed as one of the Repechage top 5 beauty salons/spas in Ireland, itself a huge honour for the business.

More was to follow however, with Louise’s begin confirmed on Monday night as the overall winner.

This hugely significant award is very timely, as Louise – like the wider SME sector – continues to embrace the reopening of society after two incredibly challenging years.

“I really am so shocked and thrilled” Louise told the Roscommon People, just hours after the award results were revealed.

“This is very humbling, and such a thrill. Now it feels like all the hard work over the years was worth it!”

After three Covid-19 lockdowns, Louise’s Beauty Salon is now busier than ever and Louise is delighted to be back engaging with her loyal customers.

“It’s so brilliant to be back meeting people face to face and doing what we enjoy so much. This is an exciting time for us. The Hydra Pure facial, recently launched in New York, is now available in our salon! Over the coming months we will be introducing more new treatments and products in the salon.

“As ever, Louise’s Beauty Salon will continue to specialise in working with brides-to-be, bridesmaids, the mother of the bride – and indeed for all special occasions, big or small!”

After a hectic few days, which involved interviews, meetings and attending the launch of the Hydra Pure facial in Dublin, Louise will travel to Italy soon to undertake some advanced make-up training in Milan, and to choose a new make-up collection from Nee, which she has stocked in the salon for the past 18 years.
