Pictured is Ailish Grennan, Loughill, Ballinlough, who was winner of the novice category in the 2007 intervarsities rock-climbing competition. Ailish represented DCU. Competitors must first attempt to complete approx. 15 short ‘boulder’ problems in order to gain the highest number of points, and secondly, climb a single long route that grows in difficulty the higher it gets, the person who does the best overall will win.
