Local winners in this year’s Tidy Towns awards

There was plenty of local success at this year’s SuperValu Tidy Towns awards which took place at the RDS in Dublin on Friday last.

Keadue won the Regional award for the northwest along with being named as county winners and their 12th gold medal in the competition, Roscommon town won their fifth consecutive gold medal, while Ballintubber took home first prize in the Heritage category along with a bronze medal. Castlecoote and Cloontuskert were county runners up taking home the sliver and bronze medals respectively.

Carrick-on-Shannon won the county award for Leitrim with Dromod also winning a medal.

Trim in Co. Meath was the Overall Winner of this year’s competition.
