Local schools in banking challenge

The Convent of Mercy Secondary School in Roscommon is the only secondary school in the county taking part in the regional finals of the AIB’s Build a Bank Challenge which take place at the Radisson Hotel in Sligo on Tuesday next, March 4th. Two winners from each regional final will qualify to compete at the national final in Croke Park on 1st May. The Challenge, now in its 6th year, offers transition year and fifth year students an exciting opportunity to run their own school bank with the support of AIB. A team of six students from each school are involved in setting up, running and managing the school bank on a day to day basis.
