Charlie Waldron, Ciaran Dempsey, and Amelia Waldron (5th and 6th Class pupils at Ballintleva National School, Roscommon) have received a prestigious activity award at this year’s Our World Irish Aid Awards for a digital book they created focusing on the subject of inequality.
The announcement was made at an event at O’Reilly Hall, UCD, which saw pupils and teachers from thirteen schools across the country gather to celebrate their collective success at a ceremony hosted by Clara Murray.
The project created by the Ballintleva National School pupils, along with those created by the twelve other finalists, will feature on a host of bus shelters across the country, as well as in a special online exhibition on the Our World Irish Aid Awards website ourworldirishaidawards.ie, and in the 2023 Global Goal Getters annual digital magazine, also available online.
