There was great excitement in Ballaghaderreen last Saturday night following the success of two local women on RTÉ’s National Lottery Winning Streak Money Spinner Game Show. Ms. Ursula Mulleady and Ms. Breda Moran won prizes worth €66,500 and €46,950 respectively. A third Roscommon woman, Ms. Vera Fox from Castlesampson, Athlone, won €10,000 on the show. The Money Spinner gameshow is hosted by Derek Mooney. Ursula Mulleady, who lives in Ballinagare, Castlerea, works part-time in the Post Office in Ballaghaderreen. She watched the show in the comfort of her son Ultan’s home and was thrilled with her win. Mrs. Mulleady is married to Micheál Mulleady and has five children. Jaimie, Neassa, Karl, Ursula-Marie, Ultan, and grandchild Ella-Marie were all thrilled with Ursula’s success. She told Derek Mooney that she intends to share her winnings with her family! Breda Moran lives with her partner Seamus in Ballaghaderreen and travels everyday to Castlebar where she works in Eva’s Boutique. She enjoys cooking, baking, reading and gardening. Ms. Moran plans to travel to San Diego, USA, where she will spend some of her winnings! The five players from Galway, Roscommon, Louth and Cork won prizes to the value of €296,700 on last Saturday night’s eleventh National Lottery Winning Streak Money Spinner TV Gameshow. The biggest winner on the night was Margaret Cooney from Galway who won prizes to the value of €85,050.
