Gerry Donohue, Ultan Flynn, Fintan Cruise, Joe Rogers, Brian Hall, Kevin Hoey and Niall Kilcrann will cycle from Rooskey to London in the upcoming ‘Cycle to London’ challenge, starting out on 13th of March 2018 and arriving in London on 16th of March 2018.
Proceeds from this fantastic challenge will go towards a local ‘Sick Children Fund’. A small committee who became aware of many children within a catchment area of approx. 30 miles who were very ill set this fund up a few years ago. The families involved were under severe financial pressure apart from having to deal with the trauma of having a sick child.
To date over 20 families have been helped with some much-needed funding for additional costs like travel for hospital appointments, parking meters, time off work, childcare or special equipment.
Over the next number of months the group will be fundraising in conjunction with the ‘Cycle to London’ challenge.
Meanwhile, deep gratitude is expressed to the seven lads participating in this huge task and the generous support of the public is respectfully sought.
