Three Roscommon athletes have secured their place on the Connacht Cross Country team for this weekend’s National Even Age Cross Country Championships, which take place in Santry, Dublin.
Hollie Kilroe of the Suck Valley Athletics Club placed second in Connacht while Eamonn Coyle (Reeside Athletics Club) placed ninth, and Hazel Kelly (Roscommon Athletics Club) placed eleventh.
All three athletes ran a very difficult 4km course to secure their spots on the provincial team. Best of luck to Hollie, Eamonn and Hazel this weekend.
