Lisacul doubles partners Sean Jennings and Denis Creaton came up against each other in the 40×20 Junior County Final in Ballaghadereen recently.
Following a marathon match, Jennings came out on top on a scoreline of 18-21, 21-13, 21-20.
In the Junior B final, Lisacul’s Gordon Nolan was impressive as he beat Dara O’Gara 21-8, 21-18.
Carragh Kennedy won her 40×20 U-13 Connacht semi-final against Galway’s Niamh Burke in Carnmore last Saturday. Kennedy clinched it on a scoreline of 15-4, 11-15, 15-13.
Aisling and Siobhan Treacy were well beaten by Galway pair Aifric Ni Ghibne and Sadhb Ni Fhlaithearta in the same venue.
The Cumann na mBunscoil Boys U-11 final finally got played last Saturday and Irslam Yakhyaev (Abbey NS) beat Eoghan Carthy (Gaelscoil de hIde) 11-8, 11-8 in a high quality affair.
