The presentation of certificates to participants who took part in the training programme for the use of the defibrillators in the Tarmonbarry/Scramogue area will take place in The Lodge, Tarmonbarry on Friday night the 30th of March next at 9.30 pm. Refreshments will be served on the night. Over 50 people from the parish and surrounding area will be presented with certificates as a result of their participation in the training programme which was facilitated by the paramedics from Roscommon Ambulance Service. The presentation will be attended by representatives from the Irish Heart Foundation, Roscommon Ambulance Paramedics, DARA Ireland and local Doctors. Cllr. Tom Crosby, Chairman of the committee, this week thanked all who participated in this very valuable life-saving service for the community, and also the sponsors and those who contributed to the cost of the €18,000 worth of equipment which will be placed at strategic locations throughout the parish.
