Leyden welcomes fire services progress

Senator Terry Leyden has welcomed the decision of the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to provide over €285,000 for the purchase of a new Emergency Tender Fire Appliance.    Five similar appliances have been approved for the Roscommon Fire Services in recent years.    The Senator is also very pleased with the new fire station due to be opened soon on Circular Road, Roscommon.   Referring to these ‘welcome’ developments the Senator noted that it was ‘a further indication of the Council’s commitment to the development of its fire and emergency services for the benefit of the people of Roscommon.’
