Lauren leads Rossies to Lilywhites showdown

 

 

Ladies Football All-Ireland U-16 ‘B’ Semi-Final: Roscommon 4-13 Sligo 3-7

Roscommon U-16s qualified for an All-Ireland final clash with Kildare after this impressive win against Sligo last Friday night in Ballyhaunis. Roscommon led by two points at half-time but turned in a great second half display to overcome a spirited Sligo side.

  Player of the match was Lauren Shanagher who scored 3-4 and was razor-sharp all through. Rachel O’Brien was Sligo’s best player on the night but Roscommon were in control in that second half and a goal from sub Sheena Kilroe saw Roscommon copper fasten an excellent win. Roscommon now play Kildare in the All-Ireland final on July 12th.
