Late Mrs. Mary Melia

The death occurred on Friday, May 18 th of Mrs. Mary Melia (nee Kiernan) Mote Park, Roscommon. In her 95 th year, Mary lived with her family at Mote Park since the early sixties having moved from Leahive, Creggs. She enjoyed good health into her nineties and enjoyed shopping and visiting the library. She passed away peacefully at her home in the loving care of her family. She was wife of the late William who predeceased her twenty seven years ago. She was also predeceased by her infant son Joseph and her son-in-law Seamus Cormican. She was a well-respected member of the local community and will be sadly missed by her family, relatives, neighbours and friends.    Her funeral took place on Saturday evening from her residence to St. Patrick’s Church, Knockcroghery and burial followed Requiem Mass on Sunday in St. Coman’s Cemetery, Roscommon.    She is survived by her son Sean, Mote Park; her daughters Bridie Cormican, Athleague; Evelyn Keane, Ballyforan and Mary Gannon, Castlerea; daughter-in-law Teresa, sons-in-law Seamus and Ignatius, nephews Marty and John, niece Mary, grandchildren and great grandchildren, relatives and friends.
