TG4 All-Ireland Ladies IFC
Roscommon 1-10
Louth 0-6
Roscommon Ladies are into the All Ireland semi-final of the TG4 Intermediate Football Championship after they beat Louth by 1-10 to 0-6 at Kinnegad on Sunday.
A fine team goal from Aisling Hanly in the 29th minute was crucial for Roscommon, who led by 1-4 to 0-3 at half-time. Roscommon were the better team up front all through but it was their excellent defence that saw them through. Rachel Brady, sweeper Caroline Conway and Roisin Wynne were outstanding as they kept the Louth attackers at bay.
Laura Fleming also played a captain’s part and scored 0-6 (3 frees) while Fiona Tully and Natalie McHugh also played very well for Ollie Lennon’s side.
