Kilduff regrets lack of progress at Ballymurray

The lack of progress on road realignment at Ballymurray was described as ‘highly regrettable’ by Cllr. Paddy Kilduff this week. ‘The issue of road realignment works at Ballymurray, near Finneran’s licensed premises on the N61 remains unresolved. It is highly regrettable that Roscommon County Council has been unable to agree a remuneration package for the acquisition of lands necessary for the works to proceed with the current landowners. However, in the absence of agreement on the purchase of land at the location, efforts are being made to minimise risk at the junction through additional signage, hedge cutting and road markings.’
