The Roscommon People this week congratulates Kilbride No Name! Club on a marvellous achievement at the weekend. Our picture shows members of Kilbride No Name! Club who were runners-up in the National No Name! Club Variety Awards 2008 in Limerick on Sunday Last. Pictured in the bottom right are the prizes the club won including second place overall in the competition, most enthusiastic club, best Irish dance group and best female Irish dancer. Kilbride No Name! Club progressed from the Regional Finals in the Black Box in Galway in March along with Tuam (who won the competition outright). The No Name! Club exists to provide an alternative to drinking and pub culture for teenagers and young adults. There are two ‘No Name! Clubs’ in the county; Kilbride and Castlerea.
