Kelly Clan ‘gather’ later this month

The Kelly Clan Association Gathering will take place in the Abbey Hotel, Roscommon later this month.    Further to the press release, which was published recently in this newspaper, the following is a schedule of events which should be of interest to locals wishing to participate:  Saturday, 19 th May 2007 11 a.m. Main party travels by coach from Abbey Hotel to Gailey Castle, Knockcroghery to arrive at 11.30 a.m. 11.30 a.m. Short talk by John Kerrigan, return to Knockcroghery. 12 noon: Community Centre (Old Schoolhouse) Talk by John Kerrigan on village itself, followed by talk by William Gacquin on places of historical interest in the immediate area south of the village. 1 p.m. Lunch Break at Centre. 2 p.m. Coach travels to ancient church of Kilmaine, via Finneran’s Pub, Ballymurray, turning left up by Ballymurray School. 2.30 p.m. Talk by John Kerrigan at Kilmaine Church. Talk by Albert Siggins on wayside cross in adjacent field. 3 p.m. Coach travels to Athleague. 3.30 p.m. Athleague Angling Centre.
