Junior Cert results due on October 18th

Minister for Education Norma Foley has, this afternoon, said the Junior Cycle exam results are due on the 18th October.

The results will be available from schools and can also be accessed online from 4pm.

Speaking this afternoon, the minister said “I can confirm that the State Examination Commission (SEC) have confirmed to me that the Junior Cycle results will issue on 18 October.”

“I know that there are students the length and breadth of the country eagerly anticipating that date, as are schools and school staff,” she added.

Last year’s Junior Cert results were issued at the later date of November 23rd but in a statement today the SEC have said: “In 2023, a combination of a much-improved examiner supply situation and the use of online marking in almost all Junior Cycle subjects has meant that it is possible to deliver these results five weeks earlier than last year.”
