Frozen food retailer, Iceland, has closed its store in Roscommon town resulting in the loss of 20 jobs locally.
Located at Roscommon Retail Park, Circular Road, it was the retailer’s 24th Irish store when it first opened back in 2018, with the creation of 20 new jobs.
Iceland sold all of its 27 stores in the Republic of Ireland in February, which are now owned and operated by Mertron Stores. In June, the High Court appointed an interim examiner to the company which operates the chain of stores, which has claimed insolvency.
