James’ experience brought to bear in new engineering firm

With experience in commercial, residential and infrastructural projects, Tulsk native James Lohan is now looking forward to the challenge of working for the new firm of Morris Lohan & Associates, a new civil engineering company which recently opened in Roscommoan. A native of Tulsk village, James is well aware of the requirements of home owners and commercial property owners in Co. Roscommon and his experience to date has also seen him liaise with planners and other officials in County Roscommon and beyond, experience which he believes will stand him in good stead in his new position as a partner with Morris Lohan & Associates. On entering third level, James chose civil engineering as a profession and studied at Sligo IT for five years, emerging with a degree in engineering. He then transferred to Dublin, where he worked on a variety of engineering projects, including working on water main projects with PH McCarthy. Four and a half years ago, he decided to move west and moved back to his native Co. Roscommon, where he began working under Liam Loughrey with A&L Consultants. During that time he was involved in work on various apartment projects in Dublin and housing schemes in Roscommon, as well as industrial and commercial units in Roscommon. James also worked on the planning and design stage of Lough Rynn and Kilronan Castle projects. With the opening of Morris Lohan & Associates, James is now looking forward to the challenges which operating a new business will bring and he is looking forward to helping clients with new projects in mind to bring their plans to fruition.
