Friday night is a showcase for local bands and three bands are expected to take to the stage during the evening.             Saturday begins with a children’s pavement art event at the Square, beginning at noon. From 3 pm Brazilian samba band MaSamba will be on the street, accompanied by a range of stilt walkers, unicycles and a giant comedy Elvis.             If you have ever fancied yourself as a star in Star Wars, Chewbacca or as a new Darth Vader, then get yourself along to the Square to have your picture taken on the set of these famous TV hits from 4.15 pm to 5 pm. Younger TV fans can also look forward to a special appearance by Bob the Builder.             From 5 pm on Saturday, there will be a live magic show on the Square. The Franzinis Crazy Comedy Show will provide the laughs and this event will feature jugglers and fire-eaters as well as Houdini’s Great Escape.             ‘The Sneaks’ are the support band on Saturday night and the Midlands-based band will be on stage from 8.30 pm. At 10.30 pm ’21 Demands’ take to the stage for what promises to be a very popular performance. Earlier this year the band was a finalist in the ‘You’re a Star’ TV programme and are since going from strength to strength.             At 2 pm on Sunday, an arts and crafts display takes place on the front of the Square, while at the same time to the rear of the Square, the Teddy Bear’s Picnic will take place, featuring bounding castles and other attractions.             A Children’s Talent Show takes place on the main stage on Sunday afternoon from 3 pm to 6 pm with novelty prizes for all involved.             Sunday night is a 70s theme night, with prizes for the best outfits on the night. The support band is yet to be announced, but Bee Gees tribute band ‘Jive Talkin’ will be the main attraction from 10.30 pm.             All weekend there will be amusements for children located beside Corrib Leisure Centre provided by Harry McFadden amusements.
