Improved skills for business leaders

Business leaders from across the county recently took part in a management development skills programme organised by Roscommon County Enterprise Board recently. The course focussed on improving a range of key business and personal skills, including communication, leadership, and financial management. Its overall objective was to increase business and personal effectiveness of senior managers, particularly those who will be taking over the management of a family business. The programme has been accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management, Europe’s largest management body, and has an Endorsed Award status. The programme contained eight modules, each consisting of a half-day workshop, plus a written project on an identified area relevant to each business. Each participant will be supported by two one-to-one mentoring sessions to ensure individual learning objectives are met. The training was delivered by Elaine Wylie and Bryony Flanagan of Green Hat Associates Limited and was funded by Roscommon County Enterprise Board.
