Improbable Frequency at the Backstage

It’s 1941. Europe is at war and suspicious messages on an Irish radio show have drawn the attention of M15 who dispatch a timid young code-breaker to Dublin to determine which side neutral Ireland is really on. ‘Improbable Frequency’, an hilarious and hugely entertaining musical comedyn is presented by Rough Magic, one of Ireland’s most renowned companies. With musicians playing live on stage the entire way through the show, original and catchy songs and actors of the highest calibre, ‘Improbable Frequency’ is all set to be one of the highlights of the Backstage Theatre calendar.   Mona Considine, General Manager and Anne Creighton, Box Office Manager raved about this show since they saw it in the Dublin Theatre Festival in 2004 and were only too delighted when the opportunity arose to host the show during its revival tour. It won Best Production and Best Director in the Dublin Festival in 2004 and went on to sell out in Edinburgh, with one Times journalist reporting that it was ‘one of the wittiest, funniest, most enjoyable shows (he has) ever seen in Edinburgh’ he also gave it a rare 5 star rating.
