IFA CAP briefing attended by local politicians

An IFA CAP briefing held in Dublin recently was attended by a number of local politicians. Issues discussed included CAP reform, farm incomes and direct payments, rural development, young farmers and generational renewal and there was also discussion on the need to simplify farm payment applications.

  Deputy Eugene Murphy said that also raised was the need for a strong CAP Budget for Ireland and how this will affect farmers in counties Roscommon and Galway.
