Hyde Park works underway

Work on the refurbishment of Dr. Hyde Park began recently and will continue for a number of months. It is hoped that the works will be completed in time for the start of the National Football League in February 2017.  It is estimated that the project will cost between €600,000 and €700,000. Speaking to the Roscommon People, Roscommon County Board Chairperson Seamus Sweeney said: “The protective work to secure the site began last Thursday week and the dismantling of the goalposts and the ball retaining nets is also underway. We expect that the work will continue for a number of months.”

The Connacht final will be held at Pearse Stadium, Salthill on Sunday, July the 10th, with the senior game starting at 2 pm. Tickets for that game will be going on sale this week.
