Work is proceeding well in Hyde Park with all systems go for the laying of the new pitch in September. Works to clear the pitch have been completed and the next phase will be the implementation of new drainage works. When this is complete the various sub levels will be put in place and finally within the next month the new pitch should be rolled out and allowed to bed in and settle.
The development is expected to cost in excess of €650,000 and it is expected that the new pitch will be laid in September and that it should be ready for play by early in 2017.
Roscommon senior footballers are on course to play their first Allianz National Football League home game in Dr Hyde Park in February 2017.
