Hundreds of homes and business without power in Roscommon

Hundreds of homes and businesses are without power in Roscommon town and surrounds this afternoon following a major outage in the area.

ESB Networks have confirmed a fault was reported shortly after 1.30 pm and say power will hopefully return by 3 pm this afternoon.

The ESB estimates that up to 900 premises are currently without power in Roscommon town and its locality.
