If national media reports are accurate, Rossie-born business giant Sean Mulryan is set to join the board of Ireland West Airport (still known to most of us as Knock).
According to the Sunday Independent, Oran native Mr. Mulryan will be ratified as a new member of the board in Knock in the very near future.
The ‘Sindo’ quotes a source who says: “Sean is passionate in his support for the West of Ireland. So he was only too happy to be asked…it’s quite a coup (for Knock).” The newspaper also reports that when the Ballymore Properties founder’s group exited Nama last year, it had repaid all of its €3.2bn gross debt. Impressive!
Here at the Roscommon People, we’re delighted that, post-recession, this famous but low-key Rossie is flourishing again in business. Sean Mulryan is of course a strong supporter of ‘Roscommon causes’ – and that includes putting his financial support behind Roscommon GAA teams.
