Handwriting competition winners

The handwriting competition took place recently in Kilbride Community Centre where concentration and a steady hand were definitely needed. The winners were: U-13 Girls: 1st Rachel Feely, Elphin; 2nd Emer Cryan, Croghan; 3rd Chloe Gacquinn, AFK. U13 Boys: 1st Liam McDermott, Elphin; 2nd Jonathan Kierwan, Kiltoom/Cam; 3rd Jason Egan, Ballintubber/Ballymoe. U10 Girls: 1st Carolyn Bray, Douglas Hyde; 2nd Amber Brihony, Drum; 3rd Ciara Mulry, Roscommon. U10 Boys: 1st Jack Mulligan, Castlerea; 2nd  Cian McGovern, Castlerea; Jnt 3rd Jack Donnelly FBD, Brian Derwin, Kiltoom. General Meeting: A general meeting has been called for Monday 16th June in the Abbey Hotel starting at 8.30 pm, where details will be discussed to finalise all the arrangements for the Athletics finals at the Gaelic Pitch, Ballyleague, on Saturday and Sunday 21st and 22nd June.  It is essential that as much help as possible is available to help with the running of all events over the weekend therefore the committee are looking for at least three people from each area to assist on the weekend. Names of helpers will be taken on the night of the meeting but anyone who is interested in giving a hand should contact their area secretary so that their name can be put forward. Dates for the Diary: Swimming: U12, U14 & Squad competitions to be held at Roscommon Pool, on June 14th at 5.30 pm. U8, U10 & U16 competitions to be held at Roscommon Pool on June 15th at 5.30 pm. Gymnastics: Competition to be held at Ballaghaderreen on June 16th beginning at 7 pm. Athletics: Track finals at Gaelic Pitch, Ballyleague on 21st and 22nd June. Field events to be held at Taughmaconnell on June 27th starting at 7 pm. All other dates for events will be decided by the games committee and areas will be notified in due course.
