Handball: Triple for Roscommon!

Roscommon Handball enjoyed a very good weekend in Cavan winning three 40×20 All-Ireland doubles titles.

The Curraghboy pair of Philip O’Connor and Paul Kelly took home the Over 35 ‘B’ doubles after a tough two hour battle with Cork duo, Jamie O’Donnell and Patrick Buckley. The Roscommon representatives came good on a 21-14, 12-21, 21-5 scoreline.

Next up was the pairing of St. Coman’s’ Linda Connolly and Siobhan Tully who overcame Tyrone duo Michelle Warren and Clodagh Donaghy 21-4, 21-2 in their ladies junior ‘B’ doubles All-Ireland Final.

The ladies intermediate doubles pair of Lauren O’Riordan and Fiona Tully received a walkover in their final as one of their Clare opponents was forced to pull out through injury.
