The organisers of the annual Roscommon dinner in Dublin have organised a special low rate for all who wish to overnight in the Regency Hotel where the function takes place. The rate agreed is €110 for two persons sharing and this includes full Irish breakfasts. This represents a saving of €70 on the usual charges. The Roscommon Dinner in Dublin takes place on Saturday evening 29th September in the Regency and is organised by the Roscommon GAA Supporters Club Dublin. This year’s Guests of Honour at the dinner are Gay and Mary Sheeran while the Roscommon 1951 Minor All-Ireland Champions will be the team of the past to be honoured on the night. The Michael Cox Perpetual Trophy and a substantial cheque will be presented to the Roscommon GAA Club judged to have been the best club in the county for looking after its under age players and underage teams during the past year. A major highlight of the dinner will be the presentation of the Roscommon Hurler of the Year 2007, given the achievements of the Roscommon hurlers in the past year.
