A grant of €11,630 for community supports for older people in the Oran area was welcomed this week by Deputy Michael Finneran. The grant was allocated to Oran Community Alert. ‘The scheme of Community Supports for Older People provides funding for initiatives to improve the security and social support of older persons by means of a community based grant scheme. This funding will afford peace of mind and enhance the safety of many older members in the Oran area,’ concluded Deputy Finneran.
