€822,305 has been provided to fund accommodation units at The Warren, Boyle, Co. Roscommon for persons with disabilities. News of the allocation has been welcomed by Deputy Michael Finneran and Senator Terry Leyden. The accommodation is being provided by Roscara Housing Association Limited in co-operation with Roscommon County Council and is funded by the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government under the auspices of Batt O’Keeffe TD, Minister for Housing, Urban Renewal and Developing Areas. Commenting on the announcement Senator Leyden said that ‘I have long been a supporter of the Voluntary Housing Capital Assistance Scheme and I am delighted to hear that Roscommon will benefit from the scheme. ‘I am firmly in favour of funding to assist with housing, particularly for those most in need. I also would like to congratulate the Roscara Housing Association which has been involved in a number of extremely worthwhile projects in Roscommon.’
