Good turnout expected for branch meetings

Over 2,500 farmers will attend their local IFA branch meeting in Roscommon over the next few weeks. Representatives from all of IFA’s 35 branches will attend to discuss the key issues facing farmers. Guest speakers will attend on the night and any concerns that are raised by IFA at local level will be communicated to county and national level for action. Mr. Bernard Donohue, Chairman, Roscommon IFA County Executive, who is leading a team of county officers that will attend each meeting, said that he looked forward to meeting the members and discussing several key issues such as the new €80 sucker cow scheme, WTO, REPS 4, and water charges.
