Strokestown Fund Raising Classic: A fund-raising classic will be held on Sunday March 16 th for Irish Lung Fibrosis Association. Teams of four any combination @ €160 per team. Time sheet in operation, contact Martin Crinigan on (087) 9125996 for details. Fixtures for the Caslin cup are now posted on the club Notice board. Remaining First round matches to be played as soon as possible. Members wishing to play in the winter league are asked to write their names on the competition sheet posted on the club notice board. This competition is open to ladies and gents. Results of the club draw which took place on Sunday February 8 th are as follows – 1 st Prize €3000: Phillip Duignan, Farnbeg, Strokestown; 2 nd Prize €2000 Voucher for Strokestown D.I.Y: Anne Henry, Lisroyne, Strokestown; 3 rd Prize €1000: Brendan Dowling, Ballyleague, Lanesboro, Co. Roscommon; 4 th Prize €500: Ann Hagan, Bridge St. Strokestown; 6 No. €100 prizes: Catherine Butler, Florence Hanly, Kathleen O’Connell, Dess Watts, Eamonn Shiel and Margaret McHugh. The parent committee of the club would like to thank all who supported the draw, the sponsors and the members for their efforts in organising the draw. The captain’s drive in took place on Sunday February 8 th The fine weather brought a big crowd to support the lady captain, Liz Gibbons and mens captain Martin Crinigan. Both Martin and Liz wish to thank everyone for their support and well wishes and the ladies for providing the food. We look forward to successful year on and off the course.
