Ceannt Golf Society The annual weekend away for the Ceannt Golf Society took place on Saturday March 31st in Westport. The weekend started on the fairways and greens of Westport Golf Club. Playing in wonderful spring sunshine and with Croagh Patrick watching over every shot golf was of a high quality. Joe Ellieffe took first prize and he could turn out to be the dark horse to watch this year. A very enjoyable evening was had by all members and their partners in the Carlton Atlantic Hotel. Any member that needs to adjust their game won’t have much time as the Society travel to Castlebar next Saturday for their second outing of the year. Ceannt Golf Society covers the Oran- Ballymoe area but due to its popularity and friendliness it has members from Dublin to Galway.
