Going to New York? Call to McKeon’s!

A Roscommon welcome – and great food – awaits you!

Are you going over to the Big Apple for Roscommon’s Connacht SFC Championship opener against New York in Gaelic Park on Sunday, May 1st?

If so, there is no better place to stop for a pint, a bite to eat or an overnight stay than in McKeon’s Bar, Restaurant & Guesthouse, located in the Yonkers area, just five minutes from the Gaelic Park stadium and 20 minutes’ from Manhattan.

The establishment is run by John Lyons and Pauline Kelly, who are natives of Knockcroghery and Kilteevan respectively.

The business partners opened McKeon’s in 2007 and, over the past nine years, it has been very popular with expats from Roscommon.

“There is a big influx of older Roscommon people here, and we get a lot of them in here,” said Mr. Lyons, who moved to New York in 1978. “It’s a good meeting place for the Rossies who come to eat.

“We are known for our steaks and we are reasonably priced!”

They are currently taking bookings for the guesthouse; to avoid disappointment, call now on 001-9145302386.
