Goals keep Kilbride on course in Connacht

Connacht Ladies Senior Club Football Quarter-Final: Kilbride (Roscommon) 3-9 St. Nathy’s (Sligo) 0-10

Kilbride followed their superb win in the Roscommon championship with victory over Sligo champions St. Nathy’s in Ballinlough last Sunday and now they face Leitrim champions Kiltubrid in the Connacht semi-final this coming Saturday.

Two first half goals against the strong breeze were key as the Roscommon girls led by 2-3 to 0-5 at half-time. The vital goals came in the 22nd minute from Casey Keane and in the 30th minute when Niamh Shanagher fisted home. Sinead Clabby’s goal in the 41st minute put Kilbride into a winning position and they never looked back after that.
