Local psychiatric nurse Mike Keenan has emerged as the winner on TG4’s Glór Tíre. Mike lives in Ahascragh with his wife Teresa, and works as a psychiatric nurse in Roscommon. He is a well-known figure on the music scene in Roscommon town. Last night (Wednesday) he emerged as the winner of TG4’s Glór Tíre, a singing competition which began last February. Judges on the show are John Creedon, Catriona O’Sullabhain and Shay Healy. In his appearances in the various rounds of the show he sang songs from his favourite artists, including Gareth Brooks, Randy Travis and The Eagles.
