Glenamaddy students raise funds for Roscommon Hospital Mental Health Unit

Comfort Care Treats Fund (CCTF) Volunteer Helen Raftery Dunne has extended a most sincere thank you to Marie Hession, Transition Year Co-ordinator at Glenamaddy Community School, who facilitated the TY students, especially Jessica, Jake and Sean, in their recent fundraising of €400 towards the Comfort Care Treats Fund (CCTF) for Roscommon University Hospital Mental Health Unit patients.

The TY students raised the money through the sale of ice cream during school breaks at the end of term.

A special word of acknowledgement was extended to  James Duignan, Principal of Glenamaddy Community School, who gave permission to proceed with the initiative, organised the stock and encouraged the students to participate, and also to Ms. Eileen Gildea, Vice-Principal, for her kind support.

If you feel like engaging in a fundraising initiative or supporting a very worthy cause, please remember the Comfort Care Treats Fund.

Funds can be made payable to ‘Roscommon Mental Health Services’ and forwarded to Dept. of Psychiatry, c/o Adrian Tully, Roscommon University Hospital, Athlone Road, Roscommon, or to Helen Raftery Dunne, CCTF Volunteer, Ballyhard, Glenamaddy, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon.
