Gleesons Restaurant takes part in ‘Dining Week’

Gleeson’s Restaurant in Roscommon town is taking part in ‘Dining Week’ a ten-day nationwide celebration of return to normality following two years of Covid-19 lockdowns.

Customers who book through can enjoy a 25% discount at participating restaurants with their €1 booking fee donated to St. Vincent de Paul.

Dining Week is supported by the Restaurants Association of Ireland and Fáilte Ireland, and sponsored by WorldPay from FIS, with hundreds of restaurants expected to take part.

EarlyTable, the platform hosting Dining Week, expects to reach up to one million customers through its upcoming media campaign and this should result in thousands of people seizing the opportunity to socialise and save.

James Lenehan, the entrepreneur behind the new EarlyTable dining platform added: “It’s been a long and difficult two years for our hospitality industry, and we hope that Dining Week is the kickstart that’s needed now. A small booking fee is required on the EarlyTable platform, but for Dining Week, we decided to donate the fee to St. Vincent de Paul given the great work they are doing to support the hosting of Ukrainian refugees”.

Garrett Clifford of Worldpay, sponsors of Dining Week, said: “Worldpay are thrilled to support Early Table with our sponsorship of Dining Week, a fantastic initiative to help and support our Restaurant sector in Ireland”.

Adrian Cummins of the Restaurants Association of Ireland said: “We are delighted to introduce Dining Week and see it as an ongoing initiative that will help support the restaurant industry. Dining Week will encourage patrons to re-engage with local eateries and celebrate quality food and hospitality across Ireland”.
