Anyone who took part in the Barrie Harris Walk on St. Stephen’s Day in Creggs is asked to return their sponsorship card as soon as possible, because funds from the 2007 event are due to be presented at a function in O’Roarke’s bar, Creggs, on Saturday night, April 13th. The walk raises money for a variety of local charities, including the Irish Cancer Society, Mayo/Roscommon Hospice, the Irish Heart Foundation, Nurses to Calcutta, the Irish Haemophilia Association and Special Olympics. All who took part in the walk are now asked to return their sponsorship cards to Chairman of the Walk Committee Michael O’Roarke or any member of the Harris family.
