‘Gatehouse’ release new music videos

Roscommon-based traditional and folk band Gatehouse have recently released two new videos, ‘The Gypsies’, and ‘Paddy From Aghera’.

The new music videos feature footage from scenic areas in Kilteevan and Knockcroghery, including The Cloonlarge Loop, Portrunny Bay and Lecarrow Harbour. Filming was also carried out in the redeveloped Kilteevan Community Centre and Paddy Finn’s pub.

As well as promoting the band, the videos will promote the beautiful heartlands of Co. Roscommon.

“We were really thrilled to make the videos in our local area, and to let viewers from all over the world see the lovely scenery that exists here in Roscommon,” said band member John Wynne.

Gatehouse would like to thank County Arts Officer Rhona McGrath and Roscommon County Council for supporting the project. It was also supported by the Department Of Tourism Culture Arts Gaeltacht Sports and Media under The Local Live Performance Programming Scheme. Band members have also expressed their gratitude to Kilteevan Community Development group and to Paddy Finns.

The videos are available to watch on YouTube, and on the band’s website; www.gatehousetrad.ie.

Gatehouse’s upcoming local performances include a concert at The Glens Centre in Manorhamilton, on Saturday, March 26th, and a performance at Roscommon Chamber Festival, on Saturday, June 4th.
