Missing woman found An elderly patient at Roscommon County Hospital went missing last Monday at 3.30 pm. She was recovered by Gardaí near the River Suck at Curraghmore, Athleague, on Monday night at 10.30 pm and was brought back to the hospital. The woman is in her mid-70s and is believed to have made her way from Roscommon to Athleague on foot. Break-in in Lecarrow An unoccupied house at Ballybrogan, Lecarrow, was burgled last week. A washing machine was one of the items stolen from the house. Gardaí are investigating the matter. Vandalism reported The front door of the Royal Hotel, Roscommon, was kicked in at 2.30 am last Monday morning. Criminal damage subsequently took place. Gardaí are conducting an investigation. Glass panel broken A Roscommon town man in his early 30s was arrested on Main Street, Roscommon, last Sunday morning at 12.30 am following criminal damage at Morrelli’s chipper. A glass panel was broken in the window the restaurant. Two men arrested Two men were arrested for being drunk and disorderly in Roscommon last weekend. At 3.00 am last Sunday morning a man in his mid-20s was arrested. The second man was arrested at one o’clock on Monday morning. He was in his early 20s. Motorist arrested A man was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor last Saturday night at Ballycreggan, Kiltoom. Injured in collision One person was taken to Roscommon County Hospital with hip and back injuries after a traffic accident involving two vehicles on Monday afternoon at Golf Links Rd, Roscommon. A Peugeot 206 and a Peugeot MPV were involved in the collision. Gardaí are investigating the matter. Alleged assault A 23-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted outside Rockfords nightclub in Roscommon last Sunday morning at 3.00 am. Two young men at the scene were arrested for alleged public order offences. One is alleged to have assaulted the young woman. A file is being prepared by the Gardaí for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
