Now local man Gabriel Lynch, who for years has worked as part of Gerry McNulty’s top team, has ventured out on his own and taken over the flooring part of the business to launch Lynch Flooring. Lynch Flooring and McNulty’s will continue to work very closely together and the guaranteed winner in this exciting new set-up is the consumer. That’s because quite apart from the fact that McNulty’s and Lynch’s deal only in quality, the fact that the two businesses are linked internally – in that customers can walk from one to another – will make the showrooms there a wonderful one-stop shop for people. He has worked with Gerry McNulty for over fifteen years and was Sales Manager there until his recent decision to branch out with Lynch Flooring. Previously he had worked with Paul Byron Shoes. Gabriel is ably assisted by Joe McMenamin from Athlone, who is very experienced in the business. Gabriel told the Roscommon People that he is extremely grateful to Gerry McNulty and all at McNulty’s for their help and friendship over the years. Speaking of Gerry, he says: "We are very good friends, indeed we have travelled the world together. By me breaking away in this way we think we can give the customer better service. We will work very closely with McNulty’s – and vica versa.’ Lynch’s boasts an array of stock that is hugely impressive in terms of quantity and quality. The very top names are available there. Proprietor Gabriel is from well-known local family Gabriel Lynch (37) is a member of a well-known local family. He is one of twelve children (eight boys and four girls) born to Eamonn and the late Kathleen Lynch of Mote Park, Roscommon. Both of his parents hailed from the Dysart area of South Roscommon. A keen sportsman, Gabriel played with distinction with the Tremane Hurling Club for many years, winning a County Senior title in 1995. He has also played with the Roscommon senior hurling team. He played with Athleague/Tremane at all underage levels and also played gaelic football with St. Dominics. His passion for hurling extended to him managing the Tremane senior team for one season and also serving as a selector at underage level. He remembers seven of the Lynch brothers playing on the one day for Tremane some years ago! Gabriel and his partner Ann Marie Mulhern have one daughter, Ella (10 months). Speaking to the Roscommon People this week, Gabriel said that he wished to sincerely thank his family, friends and neighbours and all who have helped him over the years and particularly in recent months as he set about establishing his own business.
