O’Rourke Cup Division One
St. Croan’s and Western Gaels are setting the early pace in the O’Rourke Cup League Division One after both sides won their second game in a row last weekend.
Croan’s travelled to Johnstown and beat Clann na nGael by two points 1-14 to 1-12 while Western Gaels had a great win against county champions St. Brigid’s at Frenchpark 1-15 to 1-10.
A goal from John McManus helped Roscommon Gaels to their first win in Kilmore. The town side won by 2-9 to 1-7.
Tulsk were the very impressive 1-19 to 3-8 winners against Elphin in a very competitive local derby.
Meanwhile the game of the day was at Strokestown where the home side pipped Pádraig Pearses by a point 2-11 to 1-13.
O’Gara Cup Division Two
There was nothing between Western Gaels and Michael Glavey’s who shared the spoils 0-10 to 1-7.
Fuerty will have the local bragging rights after a derby win against Oran 1-10 to 1-6.
St. Faithleach’s came out on top ina high scoring game at Ballyleague against Creggs 3-10 to 2-9.
Tansey Cup Division Three
There were handsome wins for St. Aidan’s and St. Michael’s against St. Ronan’s and Elphin in Division Three. Clann na nGael edged out Ballinameen by three points.
