St. Michael’s The junior team were defeated by Castlerea St. Kevin’s in Castlerea on Saturday evening. The final scoreline read 1-7 to 0-7 in Castlerea’s favour. The intermediate team are due to play Éire Óg in a refixed O’Gara Cup game in Cootehall on Saturday evening next at 6.30 p.m. The U-16 team received a walkover against St. Barry’s on Sunday morning last. There will be under 16 training in Ballyfarnon at 7pm on Wednesday evening which will include part two of the foundation course given by Peter Carney. The next minor game is against Shannon Gaels in Croghan on Wednesday, 4th April at 6 pm. The Club extends its sympathy to the Sheeran family, Kilmacroy on the death of Mary Sheeran which occured last week. The Sheeran family have a long association with St. Ronans and Roscommon GAA and her son Brian was a former club officer with St. Ronans GAA club and also of the Roscommon County Board executive. May she rest in peace. Hurling Oran Oran has a double fixture against Clonguish next weekend. On Friday Oran meet Clonguish in Rockfield in the U-14 Hurling Championship while on Sunday the same teams meet in the Minor Hurling Championship.
