Proceeds to Roscommon Special Olympics and local psychiatric unit
A weekend of fundraising for the Psychiatric Unit at Roscommon Hospital and Roscommon Special Olympics will be held in Glenamaddy on December 2nd and 3rd, with a charity auction and a tractor and truck run set to take place in memory of the late Sean Donelon.
Roscommon Special Olympics team members meet twice a week for Bowling Club and Swimming Lessons on Tuesdays and Thursdays – the funds being raised at this upcoming event are to help keep that going. They will also be used for an Indoor Gym and Games Room in the Psychiatric Ward in Roscommon Hospital.
The upcoming charity fundraising auction will be held in Divilly’s Bar, Glenamaddy, on Saturday, December 2nd, at 8.30 pm. Entry is free and music will be provided by the popular Danny Byrne Band. To donate items for auction, contact Claire on 086 0720533 or Kate on 087 6921355.
Then on Sunday, December 3rd, there will be a charity tractor and truck run. Registration will be in Glenamaddy Equestrian Centre from 10 am-11.45 am, with roll-out at 12 noon sharp. There is a €20 entry fee per truck or tractor.
