A fundraiser coffee event will be held in Bank of Ireland, Roscommon this Friday, February 20th, to raise funds for quality of life treatment for seven-year-old Rían Hanlon.
Rían, the youngest of four, is the son of Mark and Tracy. He lives with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) – a muscle-wasting disease that is rapidly robbing him of his mobility and independence.
There is no cure for this disease but there is treatment that could improve his quality of life significantly. Unfortunately, this treatment is only available in USA at a cost of €2.7m.
The funds raised from the upcoming fundraiser will go towards this much-needed treatment for Rían. The event will run from 10 am to 4 pm in Bank of Ireland, The Square, Roscommon.
