Funding for Ballygar pedestrian crossing

€40,000 has been allocated for a new pedestrian crossing in the Square at Ballygar, a fact welcomed this week by local councillor Michael Connolly.             The Fianna Fáil councillor said it would make crossing the street in the town much safer. ‘The crossing is a new audible type with disability proofing, a further €2,500 is to be used to install further safety measures.’   Councillor Connolly states he has been making representations for the past few years on this matter. This is part of Galway County Council Allocation for Disability Funding 2008.
